Floating evaporation pan

The floating evaporation pan� is a unique and fully automatic system, which allows direct measurement of evaporation from the water surface of a large natural or artificial reservoir. It can be used in various ways. In practice, it is possible to use measurements from the floating evaporation pan , for example, for determining the seepage of reservoirs if the inflow and outflow are known. In research, it can be used for the verification of calculating methods for determining evaporation in a particular case or for mapping climatic changes in the surroundings of large water surfaces. The floating evaporation pan is a floating apparatus which is placed on a reservoir surface so that the measuring is representative for most of the water surface and so that it is influenced as little as possible by the nearness of a bank or the small depth of water at the location of measuring.
